hvo dimensional distribution of dislocations compatible with slip line theory is used to simulate the plastic flow near the mode II crack tip. On the basis of this model, the critical shear stress 7c is derived from the variational form of the energy principle. In comparison with the critical tensil

The small scale yielding for mixed mode I and II plane stress crack problems in elastic perfectly-plastic solids is analysed by considering the stress field near the crack line. By expanding the stresses near the crack line and matching the stress field in the plastic zone with the elastic dominant
In this paper, a mode II plane stress crack in au ei~~c-~ec~y-~~tic material has been investigated. In the plastic zone, based on the Huber-!&sea yield criterion and the Prandtl-Reuss flow rule, the stress field near crack line is expanded in power series of the distance, y, to the crack line. The u
