In the case of organic molecules containing phenyl or glycol groups the X-ray powder diffraction patterns and the IR spectrophotometric data of intercalation compounds of y-ZrP are very similar to the corresponding ones of a-ZrP. It seems that a structural rearrangement has taken place during the intercalation processes.
