Erstmalig wird Lexers Mittelhochdeutsches Handwörterbuch durch eine Studienausgabe einem grösseren Benutzerkreis zugänglich.
Für den "Handlexer" ist dabei seine Aufgabe als Supplement zum BMZ von besonderer Wichtigkeit, enthält er doch ca. 34 000 Stichwörter zusätzlich bei einer Basis von 720 Quellen (BMZ: 250).
Zu den neuen Quellen gehören nicht nur literarische Werke, sondern auch Texte der spätmitteralterlichen Fachsprachen.
