Separation of the compounds of organic binary systems in continuous-flow thermal diffusion column with porous media was studied. Experimental data are compared with those obtained from the Lorenz and Emery theory extended to a continuous-flow operation and from a numerical method propounded here. For this method the velocity profile of the liquid has had to be determinated _ _ in the column.
