โฆ Synopsis
we would like to invite you to submit a paper for a special issue of Electrophoresis focused on miniaturization. Since its start in 1999 MINIATURIZATION has generated a significant interest and in 2001 a new category MINIATURIZATION has been added to the regular publication schedule of Electrophoresis to review the present state-of-the-art of the field. MINIATURIZATION 2005 will be the next in the series and the published articles should cover all aspects of miniaturized systems, including theoretical and practical considerations in their design, fabrication, and applications. The suggested topics include (but are not limited to) chip design, miniaturized separations, micro total analysis systems (m-TAS), miniaturized chemical and optical sensors, detection aspects, microfluidic interfacing, sample preparation, mass spectrometry coupling, and cell manipulation. Additionally, theoretical aspects as well as genomic and proteomic applications of miniaturized sys-tems will also be covered.
