representing the LEP and HERA collaborations

We review the search at HERA and LEP for physics beyond the Standard Model, other than leptoquarks, excited leptons, and large extra dimensions, which are covered elsewhere in these proceedings. The search methods are twofold: On the one hand there are indirect methods, via deviations of precision measurements from Standard Model predictions, like the search for extra Z Bosons, noncommutative geometry, or contact interactions. On the other hand explicit final states are searched for, which do not exist in the Standard Model, like those arising from decays of doubly charged Higgs Bosons or Technipions.
