Background. The link between the nephrotic syndrome (NS) and malignancy was first described in 1922. In solid tumors, the NS is most often due to membranous glomerulonephropathy, whereas in common hematological malignancies, minimal-change disease predominates. Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FS
