A young woman, Amanda Godwin inherits a business from her Aunt Minnie (Minerva Godwin). Minnie was a hippie/business genius who made creams and potions marketed worldwide from a rural location near Auburn, Alabama.
When Minnie realizes someone in her company is embezzling money from her she hires Gabriel Hall, a former Navy SEAL and business consultant to find the culprits. Minnie is killed in a car accident (actually murdered) before Gabe finds any answers. Minnie leaves a provision in her will that Gabriel is to help Amanda with the business transition if she dies before Amandas 30th birthday.
Gabe and Amanda fall in lust while looking for the bad guys among Minnies shirttail relatives, her attorney, and her employees. With Minnies ghostly assistance and that of employees of Gabes security firm, Gabe and Amanda have to find the culprits in a group of greedy relatives, embezzling employees and a lawyer who fails spectacularly to fulfill his fiduciary responsibilities.
