Cyclosporin A (CsA) induces osteoporosis but not through direct activation of osteoclasts. CsA also inhibits cell-mediated mineralization in marrow stromal cell culture, whereas the tyrphostin AG-1478 increases mineralization. These antagonistic effects on mineralization were used to discern molecul
