โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

A novel dualโ€mode filter using circular highโ€order mode cavities based on substrate integrated waveguide technology is presented. Its dualโ€mode character and transmission responses are carefully investigated. Filters in both Kaโ€ and Qโ€band using two congruent cavities in folded configuration are designed, fabricated with standard PCB process, and measured. Small insertion loss, flat group delay, and good tolerance are observed, which is consistent with the simulation. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, a millimeterโ€wave ultraโ€wideband (UWB) bandpass filter is proposed and implemented by cascading two dualโ€mode square ring resonators loaded with ฮป~0~/4 and 3ฮป~0~/4 open tuning stubs, aiming at transmitting the signals in the UWB passband of 22โ€“29 GHz.
