## Abstract The effect of thermal‐oxidative processing on the stability to ultraviolet irradiation of high density polyethylene containing a catechol hindered‐phenyl phosphite has been studied by periodic observation of carbonyl index by infrared spectrometry and by recording embrittlement times.
