✦ Synopsis

A combined electrical and large-signal time-domain optical model has been used to in¨estigate distributed microwa¨e effects along the top electrode of a mode-locked monolithic extended-ca¨ity laser structure, used to generate ultrashort pulses of less than 10 ps. It is shown that the bond-wire position can influence the harmonic content of the mode-locked signal generated.
