✦ Synopsis


The microwave spectrum of 1 -chloro-3-fluorobenzene was reinvestigated in the frequency region (7-13 \mathrm{GHz}) by a molecular beam Fourier transform microwave spectrometer. A least-squares analysis of the observed (a) - and (b)-type transition frequencies gave rotational and quartic centrifugal distortion constants and the components of the nuclear quadrupole coupling tensor in the principal inertial axes system, (A=3425.57437(24) \mathrm{MHz}, B=1176.59907) (25) (\mathrm{MHz}, C=875.68123) (14) (\mathrm{MHz}, D_{J}=0.0314(30) \mathrm{kHz}, D_{J K}=0.0334(75) \mathrm{kHz}, D_{K}=0.726(30) \mathrm{kHz}, d_{1}=-0.00972(98)) (\mathrm{kHz}, d_{2}=-0.00225(52) \mathrm{kHz}, \chi_{a a}=-61.3242(33) \mathrm{MHz}, \chi_{b b}=28.1056(27) \mathrm{MHz}, \chi_{c c}=) (33.2186(60) \mathrm{MHz}, \chi_{a b}=32.989(25) \mathrm{MHz}), for (1-\left[{ }^{33} \mathrm{Cl}\right]) chloro-3-fluorobenzene.
