β¦ Synopsis
The mlcrowave spectra of SiF$ZN and SiF,NC have been mcasurcd in gaseous mixtures generated in situ from the reactlon of SiF,X (X=1, Fir) with AgCN. The species have been identified by complete structural determination via detailed isotopic substitution. The zero-point average structure ofSiF,CN was determined to be: Sic= l-828( 3), C=N= 1.152( I ), and SiF= I.551 (3) A, and FSiF=109.8(1)". For SiF,NC the average structure is: SiN=1.707(3), N=C=1.168(1), and SiF=l.548(3) A and FSiF=109.7( 1 )". The dipole moments have been determined by Stark measurements as p(SiF,CN)= 1.620(4) D and &SiF,NC)=1.13(3) D.
