A highly efficient, microwave‐assisted, regioselective synthesis of 2,3‐disubstituted‐6‐arylpyridines and new series of 7,7‐dimethyl‐2‐aryl‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydroquinoline‐5‐ones from enaminones in the presence of K~5~CoW~12~O~40~.3H~2~O (1.0 mol %) as heterogeneous catalyst under solvent free conditions is reported.
