Fractographic examination of creep crack growth behaviour in a mechanically alloyed material, IN-9021-T452, reveals unexpected morphologies. The material exhibits superplastic deformation oflocal fibres surrounding intergranular fracture. High strain rates promote 100% superplastic fibre formation.
