Rydberg absorption spectra of methyl iodide, CH,I, in hydrogen-argon binary mixtures of density (2.16-3.14) x 10" cm-3 are reported. We have extended the range of electron mobility mcasuremcnts in dense helium gas at 77.3'K to pressures of 40 atm and at 160Β°K to 80 atm. Coexisting high and low mobility branches were found at both temperatures, mrrespondinp, we believe, to free electron and "bubble" states.
