Rydberg absorption spectra of methyl iodide, CH,I, in hydrogen-argon binary mixtures of density (2.16-3.14) x 10" cm-3 are reported. The Rydberg energy shifts, normalized to a total density of 1 X 1021 cmm3, vary linearly with the mole fraction of the binary mixture. Reservations concerning this lin
We have extended the range of electron mobility mcasuremcnts in dense helium gas at 77.3'K to pressures of 40 atm and at 160Β°K to 80 atm. Coexisting high and low mobility branches were found at both temperatures, mrrespondinp, we believe, to free electron and "bubble" states.
