β¦ Synopsis
Anodic dissolution of milligram amounts of the sample and removal of most of the dissolved silver are done simultaneously by electrolysis using the sample as anode, a platinum cathode controlled at -0.25 V vs. SCE and 1 ml of 0.08 M nitric acid-O.001 M sutphuric acid as electrolyte. Silver remaining in the electrolyte is removed by a second electrolysis with a platinum anode. Nanogram amounts of lead and cadmium in the electrolyte are then determined by atomic absorption spectrometry and anodic stripping voltammetry.
