✦ Synopsis
Three proteins (myoglobin, ribonuclease, and cytochrome C) were concentrated, separated, and isolated from a dilute mixture by electrically controlled focusing in carrier-ampholyte-free solution. Electrolytes were modified at both sides of the capillary. The described method is suitable for the micropreparation of hundred-pg quantities of proteins in times comparable to other capillary techniques (tens of minutes).
