The preparation of a novel carbon black/alumina gel composite by sol-gel reaction of aluminum isopropoxide (AIP) was investigated. When sol-gel reaction of AIP was carried out in the presence of untreated carbon black, a thin film of alumina gel was hardly obtained, because of the presence of aggreg
