This is the second edition of a classic in laryngology. Dr. Kleinsasser has been instrumental in the development of a quantum step forward in the treatment of early laryngeal disease. The first section of this book is devoted to a brief, historical overview of microlaryngoscopy in the postwar period. Additional information is then put forward as to the indications and contraindications for microlaryngeal surgery. Finally, instruments and anesthesia are discussed.

Of considerable value is an in-depth discussion of operative procedures and techniques.
