'For a long time the absorbance at 260 rnp haa been used to estimate RNA concentration in solutions. Since the absorption maxima of RNA's are very close to 257.0 mp (see Falk, M., Can. J. Chem. 43, 3151 (1965)), it is more accurate to make readings at this wavelength.
