✦ Synopsis
full, in all the papers these proceedings provide much detailed information. It must be repeated, however, that the authors do not take the full sprectrum of international literature in,to consideration, so the results reflect only local studies or ecological results already published and already known by scientists working on the ecosystems of sandy beaches. Symposia should provide a chance to discuss international results, and a proceedings volume, especially in its overview chapters, should describe the knowledge available without excluding the results of those scientists who were not able to participate due t o a lack of time or funds.
