โฆ Synopsis
Exact
solutions for flows of an electrically conducting fluid over an infinite oscillatory plate in the presence of a transverse magnetic field are obtained when the entire system rotates about an axis normal to the plate. It is observed from the analysis that the governing differential equation for steady flow in an Oldroyd-B fluid is identical to that of the viscous fluid. It is shown that the difficulty of the corresponding hydrodynamic problem associated with the resonant frequency n = 2R is automatically resolved in the present hydromagnetic analysis.
