We have examined the effect of addition of hydroxocobalamin to growth medium on the activity of the adenosylcobalamin-requiring enzyme methylmalonyl CoA mutase in normal human fibroblasts and in mutant human fibroblasts derived from patients with inherited methylmalonicacidemia. The mutant cell line
