Thermally-induced self-crosslinking behaviour has been found in copolymers containing Nmethyl-N-vinylbenzylpyrrolidinium chloride (MVBPC) and methyl methacrylate (MMA). NMR, IR and low molecular weight model reactions demonstrate that this crosslinking reaction occurs between the methyl ester groups
