In the title compound, C 15 H 17 NO 6 , the nitro group is tilted at a dihedral angle of 44.1 (3) with respect to the benzene ring. The five-membered cyclopentanone ring adopts an envelope conformation. Intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonding is observed.
