โฆ Synopsis
The fabrication and analysis of 19 F-based and 1 H-based thin netization transfer across a finite distance in the Teflon and films and the NMR techniques employed for studying them are polystyrene microsphere system, we developed techniques discussed. The heteronuclear magnetization transfer results in disto perform an ordered-geometry study of this phenomenon. ordered media that motivated the development of the ordered thin-film techniques are summarized. The experimental setup and MATERIALS AND METHODS sample geometry for the thin-film experiments are described, and the techniques for thin-film preparation and thickness measurement are discussed. For the NMR spectrometer, coil tuning via Setup changing the applied magnetic field and the techniques employed for lowering the dead time are described. No signal averaging was
The experimental setup is as follows. The NMR sample, required to obtain spin echoes from a sample composed of 0.5 mm discussed below, is a stack of round microscope coverslips thin films. T 1 values on the order of one minute were measured coated with PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) on one side in the thin films at a temperature of 0.5 K. These techniques should and amorphous Teflon on the other side. The stack is then be of particular use in studying cross relaxation at surfaces and placed in a Pyrex test tube epoxied to a copper flange. A NMR of membrane proteins.
