## Abstract Serum uric acid (UA) is a strong endogenous antioxidant. Since oxidative stress has been linked to osteoporosis, we examined the association between serum UA levels and bone mineral density (BMD), prevalent vertebral and nonvertebral fractures, and laboratory measures such as calcitropi
