## Abstract ## Background. There is a lack of effective treatment for metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC), a usually indolent tumor. We studied the efficacy of imatinib mesylate, a potent inhibitor of KIT tyrosine kinase, in patients with KIT‐positive metastatic ACC. ## Methods. Five patie
