Abstract
Experimental results of an investigation of metastable zone and sodium hydrogen carbonate nucleation from the included supersaturated solutions are presented. In order to attain a better crystal size distribution some temperature patterns along the cooling part of the carbonating column have been suggested. It has been shown that high crystal growth rates might be carried on smaller size carbonating columns.
