Abstract
The 1:1‐metal complexes of cis‐cis‐1,3,5‐triamino cyclohexane (denoted by B) have been investigated. Cu^II^, Zn^II^ and Ag^I^ are forming a protonated complex of composition MHB^3+^ and AgHB^2+^ respectively, and their stability shows them to be chelates with the cyclohexane ring in the boat form. At higher pH‐values deprotonation to MB^2+^, AgB^+^ takes place. With silver a bimetallic complex Ag~2~B^2+^ is also formed. Complex formation with Ni^2+^, Co^2+^ and Cd^2+^ at equimolecular concentrations of 10^−3^ M is negligible.

## Abstract The tendency of 2‐aminomethyl‐1, 3‐diamino‐propane to form complexes with Mn^2+^, Fe^2+^, Co^2+^, Ni^2+^, Cu^2+^, Cd^2+^, Zn^2+^ and Ag^+^ was studied using the method of Schwarzenbach.
The stabilities of the Mn^2+^‐, Co^2+^‐, Ni^2+^‐, Cu^2+^‐ and Zn^2+^‐complexes with 2‐(carboxymethyl)glutaric acid (**2**) and __cis__,__cis__‐1,3,5‐cyclohexanetricarboxylic acid (**3**) were measured potentiometrically at 25° and I = 0.5 (KNO~3~). The proton spectrum of the isomeric mixture of &,cis-and cis,trans-1,3,5-triamino~clohexane was assigned with a 2D COSY experiment. Using Forrest's modified equation and the 2D J spectrum results, the conformations of the two isomers were analysed. The six-membered ring of the cis, trans isomer is fl
