Cadmium, copper, manganese, lead and zinc concentrations were determined in water, periphytonic algae, detritus, and larvae of three aquatic insects, viz. Baetis sp. (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae), Hydropsyche sp. (Trichoptera: Hydropsychiidae), and Chironomus ramosus Choudhury and Das (Diptera: Chironom
