The aim of the researches was the dctcrmination of the lead, cadmium, iron, coppcr and zinc contcnt in sclected food products available in everyday life in the city of Cracow. It was found that all ftKd products contain lead and cadmium contaminations. The trace elcmcnt contcnt in the Polish ftxd products was within the range of values obtained by other authors.
