**A new 1,10‐phenanthroline‐containing π‐conjugated polymer,** the color of which can be tuned from blue to red by metal complexation, has been synthesized. The polymer responds sensitively to various metal ions due to its high coordinating ability, and the Figure shows emission from the polymer–met
