## Abstract Highโ€resolution magic angle spinning (HRMAS) ^1^H NMR spectroscopy is ideal for monitoring the metabolic environment within tissues, particularly when spectra are weighted by physical properties such as __T__~1~ and __T__~2~ relaxation times and apparent diffusion coefficients (ADCs). ## Abstract The metabolic consequences of xenobioticโ€induced toxicity were investigated using highโ€resolution magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy of intact tissue. Renal papillary necrosis (RPN) was induced in Spragueโ€Dawley rats (n = 12) via a single i.p. dose of 250 mg/kg 2โ€bromoethanamin
