Samhain is almost upon us, a time when the barriers between the worlds are thin and rifts open spontaneously. It's also my birthday.
I want the normal things, you know? Fresh chips, bad witches, hot detective. It's Samhain, though, so I have to take what I can get...even if that's a new High Wizard who's seized the reins and all the audacity, at the best possible time--in the middle of a fae invasion.
Damned if I'm going to be a gracious host, though. Not when the fastest, deadliest, most insidious creatures known have infiltrated our society with mind control and glamor. Certainly not if it means losing everyone and everything I care about. But protecting them, might mean sacrificing myself.
