✦ Synopsis

The framework to compute the responses of hadron masses to the chemical potential in lattice QCD simulations is briefly presented. As a first trial, the screening mass of the vector meson and its first and second responses are evaluated on a 12' x 24 x 6 lattice with two flavors of staggered quarks below and above T,. The responses to both the isoscalar and isovector chemical potentials are obtained for quark mass ma = 0.100.

We ana, lyse t,he effect of the baryon chemical potential in the low-energy QCD chiral lagrangian. We compare with l+l dimensional models and discuss the issue of thermal bosonisation.
