Thus the variance in GE-6 associated with the the measurement on 1, 2 and 3 components respectively was established as a function of the number of bars per measurement set each. In Fig. 11 the number of specimens per measurement set is plotted versus the variance thus calculated over the validity range of the Gaussian Error Propagation Law derived from Fig. 13.
Next we have assumed that the "true" Weibull modulus is M = 20 and determined the variance in GE-6 in an analogous way as was done before for M = 7. The resulting curves for M = 20 are plotted in Fig. 12.
