✦ Synopsis
Mercury hehum and mercury xenon van der
Waals complexes have brsn observed in a supersomc Crre jet expansion by lawr-Induced fluorescence in the wcm~~y of rhe Hg(3P,-'SO) transition. The hehum compiex very weakly bonded in the groundamlc(Do=8fl cm-') oxhnbzkd a simple ro~z~tiond structure. The strongly bonded xenon complex has shown a cl-r example of isoIoplc broadening in ils vibronlc spectra.
