✦ Synopsis


Mercury Porosimetry tests have shown that steam cured cement pastes have a coarser pore structure than cement pastes cured at room temperature. Heating of mature, room temperature cured pastes also makes the pore structure coarser, It was found that specimen size has an important influence on the mercury porosimetry results. Versuche mit dem Quecksilber-Porosimeterverfahren haben gezeigt, dass dampfhydratisierter Zementstein eine gr~bere Porenstruktur hat als der in Zimmertemperatur hydratisierte. Erhitzen eines Zementsteins, der in Zimmertemperatur hydratisiert ist, ergibt ebenfalls eine grBbere Porenstruktur. Es wurde beobachtet, dass die GrBsse des VersuchskBrpers einen bedeutenden Einfluss auf die Resultate des Quecksilber-Porosimeterverfahrens hat.

The moisture permeability of hardened cement paste is normally not a constant, because it depends on both the porosity and the relative humidity (RH) in the pores of the cement paste when RH exceeds approximately 60 to 70%. The measured results show a strong relationship between the porosity of the
