✦ Synopsis

Hemilabile ligands / Cyclopentadienyl ligands, functionalised / Iron compounds / Halfsandwich complex Reaction of iron(I1) chloride with one equivalent of [MeO-[MeO(CH2CH20)3(CH2)3C5Me4]Fe(C5H5) (2) and [MeO-(CH2CH20)3(CH2)3C5Me4]Li in THF yields the title halfsand-(CH2CH20)3(CH2)3C5Me4]Fe(CO)2Cl (3), respectively, in wich complex 1, which is stable in solution u p to room temperature. Compound 1 reacts with C5H5Li and C O to give high yields.
