✦ Synopsis
A high-performance, highly reliable and practical memory database recovery method is obtained, which uses general-purpose apparatus and is applicable to service control nodes in advanced intelligent networks. As a temporal store memory for the recovery information, the use of semiconductor disk devices or the main memory of the other modules is assumed. The factors of transaction access frequency in unit time and unit volume, time necessary for recovery, and store capacity of database are discussed and the optimal area of applications is indicated. A comparison of nonvolatile methods and redundant structure is made, and we can show the advantage of the recovery method using a semiconductor disk backed up by a battery for an advanced intelligent network. The easy maintenance of the battery is shown by the test products.
