β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Mouse myeloma cell lines synthesize large amounts of immunoglobulin on their membraneβassociated polyribosomes. Variants which no longer synthesize immunoglobulins have been studied and shown to have the same number of tightly bound membraneβassociated polyribosomes as the parental cell lines. These polyribosomes are still active in the synthesis of nonimmunoglobulin proteins.
