✦ Synopsis
The infrared spectra (400-7000 cm 21 ) of three composites based on salts of tetracyano-pquinodimethane (TCNQ) and methyl-TCNQ with N-alkyl-isoquinolinium cations are measured as a function of temperature (up to about 450 K). The influence of composite melting on the charge transfer and vibrational bands is studied. It is found that melting causes an irreversible transition into a new phase. *
