โœฆ Synopsis


The cardiac and vascular fellowship is designed to provide insight into the physical principles of magnetic resonance, specifically, as it relates to cardiovascular imaging as well as an overview of the range of practical clinical applications. It includes an introduction to the principles of magnetic resonance imaging, instrumentation, and contrast phenomenology. It further introduces cardiac and vascular imaging strategies and methods for imaging of function and morphology of the cardiovascular system, MR angiography, and hemodynamic analysis. Finally, it covers a broad range of applications, including congenital and ischemic heart disease, valvular disease, imaging of the great and visceral vessels and intraand extracranial and peripheral vascular disease, and MR venography. The clinical perspective will be emphasized. The fee is $1600.00 (includes daily lunches) and participants receive 40 hours of AMA Category I credit.
