The aim of the meeting is to bring together researchers on benthic mangrove macrofauna, such as crustaceans, molluscs and polychaetes. However, contributions on fishes, birds, or any other taxa living on or within the mangroves for all or part of their life histories are also welcome.
Sessions will be planned on the biology, ecology, behavior, exploitation, and cultivation of these organisms, as well as on their biogeography, taxonomy, and genetics.
The first formal announcement is expected at the end of September 1999.
