HISTORY

Feverfew is an ancient remedy for fever, pain, and menstrual problems that has been used since ancient Greek times. The 17th century herbalist Culpepper recommended the use of this herb for miscarriages, colic, and opium addiction. 1 Additionally, John Gerard ' s Herball recommended the use of feverfew for the treatment of infl ammation and swelling including St. Anthony ' s Fire. Feverfew was considered the " medieval aspirin.
