## Abstract The bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BST) plays a tonic role modulating the baroreflex bradycardiac response. In the present study, we verified whether local BST glutamatergic receptors and nitric oxide (NO) system modulate baroreflex bradycardiac responses. Bilateral BST‐ N‐methyl‐
