✦ Synopsis

We have studied the mechano-electrochemical activation of optical emission (mechanoluminescence, M L ) from the surface of lymphocytes. In C57BL/6 mice with B16 melanoma at the terminal stage of tumour growth and after immunotherapy with thymic agents, there is a correlation between light emission and the value of lymphocyte surface charge and titres of thymic serum factor (FTS).

## Abstract Thy‐1.2 negative progenitors give rise to Thy‐1.2 positive colony cells when mouse bone marrow is cultured in vitro. The bone marrow cells are immobilized in a viscous medium containing methyl cellulose; discrete colonies are identifiable at 2 days and contain 30–60 cells by day 3 of cu

The capability of some metal compounds for inducing micronuclei (MN) in human lymphocytes was studied. In this investigation, Al (III), Cd (II), Hg (II), Sb (V), Te (VI), and Tl (I) salts were considered. The FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) technique with a centromeric probe was coupled wi

A method for the assay of dehydroascorbic acid using high-performance liquid chromatography with uv detection is described. The dehydroascorbic acid is separated from ascorbic acid and reduced with dithiothreitol, and is then quantitated as ascorbic acid following rechromatography. Since as little a
